The following Scriptural Nugget is the sixth in a mini-series based on John 11. “Jesus called in a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out!'” (John 11:43)
Jesus is standing outside of Lazarus tomb, calling out to the dead man within: “Lazarus, come out!”. And Lazarus, indeed, rises up and comes out of the tomb! He is alive! What joy! The Bible clearly teaches that without Jesus in our lives, we are dead. (Eph 2:1: “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins . . .”; Eph 2:4-5: ” . . . when we were dead in transgressions . . .“; Col 2:13: “When you were dead in your sins . . .”; Rom 6:11: “In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin . . .”). The Bible also teaches that just as Jesus had the power to raise Lazarus from the dead, He also has the power to resurrect our bodies that are dead to sin! Eph 2:4-5: “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved” My friends, there is a solution to the “deadness” of our bodies to sin! That solution is Jesus Christ! Just as Jesus stood before Lazarus’ tomb and commanded him to “Come out”, He also stands outside of the sinful grave (lives of sin) of each and everyone of the lost, calling out: “______, come out!” Will you come out today? My friends, Why wait another day? Why don’t you answer the Savior’s call today! Why don’t you “Come out” the death to sin and begin to LIVE! Click here
