Salvation Is Free for the Taking

by | Jun 24, 2025 | Free Gift, Salvation

For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

(Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV)

He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

(Titus 3:5 ESV)

According to Oxford Languages, salvation is “deliverance from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ.”

Oxford Languages defines hell as “a place regarded in various religions as a spiritual realm of evil and suffering, often traditionally depicted as a place of perpetual fire beneath the earth where the wicked are punished after death.” Oxford Languages defines Heaven as “a place regarded in various religions as the abode of God and the angels, and of the good after death, often traditionally depicted as being above the sky.”

Ok, now what? The decision is yours. Do you want to go to heaven for eternity where there is peace, joy, and no illness or diseases? Or do you want to go to hell? I know a lot of people joke about going to hell. During my working years, I would hear someone joke to another about saving a front-row seat in hell for them. Knowing what I know now, you can have your front-row seat in hell, being tortured every second for eternity. I will be content if I have to be in the very back row in front of God.

I know God loves me and I love Him. I gave my life to God when I was around 10 years old. But that’s as far as it went. The church where I grew up didn’t follow through with us kids. That’s sad. All I knew was I had Jesus in my heart but didn’t know I had access to the most powerful weapon there is, the blood of Jesus.

But now I know. Make use of the blood. Salvation is free. Take advantage of it.

Have a great day, everyone.
