“You are of your father, the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.“
(John 8:44 ESV)
“And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”
(2 Corinthians 11:14 ESV)
Have you ever had a little voice telling you that you aren’t good enough, or that person really doesn’t like you? Or you won’t be able to pay your bills this month? Those are just a few of the lies from the devil. He will tell you lies and tell them so many times that you end up believing them.
I have believed the devil’s lies before. There are some that are hard to let go of because you have believed them for so long. For instance. The devil used my dad to tell me lies. As a young girl growing up, I believed him. He was, after all, my dad. But now that I am older, ok, I’m old. I know that it really wasn’t my dad saying those things. It was a lie of the devil. A lie that the devil told me kept me out of church for almost 50 years. But I’m back in church and have learned to know my Father’s voice. I know His voice, and I know He won’t ever steer me wrong.
he devil has ways to try to get you to believe his lies. I encourage you to listen closely. If it feels wrong, that’s not God’s voice. I want to encourage you to get into a church. Or go back if you have left for any reason. Learn to hear God’s voice and follow His instructions closely. God has good things for you. He won’t let you fail.
Have a great day, everyone.
