“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.“
(Isaiah 43:2 ESV)
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.“
(Isaiah 41:10 ESV)
There’s a song I love. It’s called, “The Anchor Holds” by Ray Boltz:
“The anchor holds.
Though the ship is battered.
The anchor holds.
Though the sails are torn.
I have fallen on my knees.
As I faced the raging seas.
The anchor holds.
In spite of the storm.”The Anchor Holds by Ray Boltz
Look at the last couple of sentences. “The anchor holds in spite of the storm.” See the words “in spite of”? It doesn’t say the storm suddenly stopped because of the anchor. It says in spite of the storm. Do you know who the anchor is? My anchor is Jesus. He holds me steady and safe in storms.
I’m not talking about thunderstorms. I’m talking about the attacks of the devil. Let me tell you. The devil knows time is getting short. And boy, is he mad! He is pulling out all the stops. He is recruiting his demons to go on attacks against us. I want to warn you that the more you do for Jesus, the harder the attack. I don’t want to scare you off because Jesus is helping you fight these battles. Jesus is our anchor, and He will not let go. You will be safe in His arms.
Do you have an anchor? Let me explain what an anchor is. According to Oxford Languages, an anchor is “a heavy object attached to a rope or chain and used to moor a vessel to the sea bottom.” Now imagine Jesus as a strong anchor. He is holding tight so we don’t sink during the storm. Let Jesus be your anchor. I promise He won’t let you go.
Have a fabulous day, everyone.
