When You Are At Your Lowest

by | Jun 1, 2024 | Perseverance

“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

(John 4:24 ESV)

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

(Isaiah 41:10 ESV)

I was reading an article, and this statement was made: “When you are at your absolute lowest, the easiest thing to do is to stay down. But you didn’t. You climbed out, you rebuilt, and you did better.”

How many times have I been at my very lowest and didn’t think I had a way out? More times than I can remember.

There have been many times that I just felt like I didn’t matter to anyone. But there was someone who cared a lot about me. Jesus. Jesus stays when you are down. He loves you so much. Jesus will help you to realize you are an important person. He will remove your feelings of depression, self hate, and loneliness. Jesus walks with you every day. He will take away the hurt. But you have to let Him. Stop with the pity party and ask Jesus for help.

I had a short pity party yesterday. It didn’t last long. I was able to snap myself out of it fairly quickly. But I really wanted to cry and give up. Next time you feel like you don’t matter to anyone, turn to Jesus. He loves us more than anyone else does.

Have a blessed day and smile. You’ll feel better if you do.
