“You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!”

“For God did not spare angels when they sinned but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment.”
(2 Peter 2:4 ESV)
You know Satan has his demons working overtime right now because he knows his time is short. But do you know you have power over them? If you believe in God, you have power over them. Read this verse again: “You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!” (James 2:19 ESV). Even the demons believe in God and shudder at the mention of His name. They know that God is more powerful than they are.
Jesus cast out demons. He cast out demons who went into a herd of pigs and then went over a cliff. So, are you having issues? Are demons tormenting you? Read this verse and follow its instructions: “Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7 ESV)
So submit to God. Then the devil flees. Sounds easy enough. But will the devil stay away? Probably not. We tend to let our guard down, and those creepy little demons will crawl back in. But if we keep our guard up and keep standing against them, they have no power over us.
So stand your ground and keep your armor on and guard up.
