“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
(Mark 11:24 ESV)
“Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”
(Romans 8:26 ESV)
A church on its knees is more powerful than an army on its feet.
Think about that for a minute. How can you be more powerful than an army just by praying? Prayer is a powerful weapon. When we pray, we can move mountains.
Do you have a mountain in your path? Pray about it. I have a mountain in front of me. I have been praying and praying. God told me last night to be patient. It will be moved in due time. I am usually a patient person. But sometimes, I can be very impatient. I’m working on it.
I go to a praying church. No one is afraid to pray for you. No one hesitates to pray for you. God wants us to pray for each other. He wants us to care enough about each other to know when they need prayer.
How do you pray for others? Do you really dig in, or do you just say God heal them and move on? What if you need prayer and they just say God please heal this person and then walk away? I wouldn’t be very happy. But do you think God will honor a prayer like that? I believe so. He might not be very happy, but if the person getting prayed for believes they are healed, I believe God honors it.
I want to encourage you today to really start to dig in and increase your prayer time. We all need prayer at one time or another. And we really need prayer warriors.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
