“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.” (Psalm 37:5 ESV)
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3 ESV)
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7 ESV)
According to google, commitment is, “the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.”
Each of us has had a commitment of some kind in our lives. If you are married, you have made a commitment to spend your life with your spouse. You make a commitment to show up for work, take care of your kids or aging parents. There are all kinds of commitments.
A big commitment, at least for me, is my walk with Jesus. I made a commitment to follow Him when I gave my life to Him many years ago. That was a big commitment for me. I decided to follow Jesus. I will not change my mind or walk away from Him. He doesn’t leave me, and I won’t leave Him.
How about you? Have you committed yourself to Jesus? If not, it’s a good time to do it. Time really is growing short. Jesus really is coming back soon. Jesus is waiting with open arms for you. Fall into those arms and let Him take care of you. He loves you and wants you to live in heaven when your days here are done.
Don’t wait. Give your life to Jesus and commit your life to living for Him.
