I’m an Overcomer

by | Sep 9, 2022 | Deliverance, Overcome

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

(John 16:33 ESV)

“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

(1 John 5:4 ESV)

“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

(1 John 4:4 ESV)

There are days when I just feel defeated. Everything I do or touch goes wrong. I just want to throw my hands up and quit. Oh! But that’s what the devil wants me to do. And don’t get me wrong, I am so tempted to quit. But I keep going. At least as best as I can. We need to be overcomers. God wants us to prosper and overcome all things coming against us. Just look at the world. It’s a mess. The devil is spreading all kinds of lies and people are falling for them. We need to stop and think before we fall for any of the lies being spread today, especially by the government. We need to use discernment and follow God and not the world. By following God, you will have a better chance of figuring out right from wrong.

The government doesn’t want us to know the truth. They want to keep us in the  darkness of lies and deception. I don’t know about you but that is not a place I want to live. I want to know the truth.

I have often wondered what it takes to be an overcomer. For me, it’s closely following God. Do I do it? Not always. I need to read my Bible more, I need to study the word more than I do. I need to pray more too. Especially in tongues. I just feel better after praying in tongues. It seems to clear things up in my mind and heart.

So let’s all do our best to be an overcomer. Let’s put the devil on notice right now. He has no right in our lives.

Have a great day everyone.
