King of My Heart

“Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!”

(Psalm 47:6-7 ESV)

“Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

(Philippians 2:9-11 ESV)

I serve a King like no other. He is the King of my heart.

I was on my way to church yesterday when I heard this song, “King of My Heart” by Bethel Music and Steffany Gretzinger:

“And let the King of my heart,
Be the wind inside my sails.
The anchor in the waves.
Oh oh, He is my song.

Let the King of my heart,
Be the fire inside my veins.
The echo of my days.
Oh oh, He is my song.”

King of My Heart by Bethel Music and Steffany Gretzinger

God is the King of my heart, the wind in my sails and my anchor in smooth or rough times. God is the fire in my veins. I had let that fire kind of grow dim. But this is not the time to let that fire go out. This is the time to stoke that fire and keep it burning. Fan that ember, make that fire grow again.

Church was so good yesterday. I got the encouragement I needed from God to move out of my comfort zone and let Him stretch me and grow me into the person He wants me to be. He wants to do that for you too. Will you let Him?

It’s a good thing when God wants to stretch you. He wants to take to a new place in Him. Do a new work in you. So when God asks you to do something out of your comfort zone, don’t shrink back. Step out in faith and let Him have His way in you.

I have never regretted stepping out in faith and letting God use me.

Have a blessed day everyone.
