No, I didn’t forget the scriptures. God lead me another direction today. I was researching Bible verses last night. I searched for the most popular verses. I found the top 10. Here the top 2:
1. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NKJ)
2. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'” (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJ)
Those are great verses. Not a thing wrong with them. They just aren’t my favorites but they are in my top 10. My top 2 favorites are…
1. “You have circled this mountain long enough. Now turn northward.” (Deuteronomy 2:3 NKJ)
2. “The God of peace will soon crush satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.” (Romans 16:20 NKJ)
My first favorite is direction given from God. Have you ever felt like you are going in circles? Then maybe it’s time to turn northward. Break that routine, break that habit. Start fresh with God by your side, leading you. Then the second one, to me, is a promise from God. It’s telling me that no matter what, satan will be defeated in my life. I like that. Satan will be crushed under my feet. I like to think of the Bible as God’s road map and book of instruction for me. I can find guidance in it. It helps me to live my life accordingly.
But it’s also instruction. God is trying to tell me things, so I won’t be caught off guard and possibly trapped by satan. Whatever your favorite verse or verses may be, read them, memorize them and meditate on them. See what God is saying to you about your life. He has great plans for us all if we will just listen for His guidance.
