“Pray without ceasing”

(1 Thessalonians 5:17 ESV)

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

(Romans 8:26 ESV

I am working with therapy to hopefully help me strengthen what neuropathy has stolen. The therapist is whipping my butt. She is happy with my progress though. She said I’m building muscle again because I am sore after each session.

That got me to thinking to thinking after she left yesterday. We have one muscle we over use. That’s the tongue. While the brain is not a muscle, I should be using it more. If I used my brain I would be doing more for God. I would be in the word more. And I could watch my words better. I would stop idle talk and pray more.

We all need to pray more. We all need to pray for each other more. We all could use prayer. If for nothing more, for protection from the devil in these days. I know I have been under attack a lot lately. The devil whispers in my ear negative things and I have to take a stand every day. Sometimes several times a day. He is persistant. But that’s alright because I have the power of God backing me up. He has my back.

So do you. God is on your side. So exercise your muscles. Pray more and dig into the word more. Make your stand today against the enemy.

Have a great day.
