“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
(Proverbs 31:28-31 ESV)
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”
(Proverbs 31:25-28 ESV)
As most of you know, my mom left this world several years ago. I still miss her but I know she is happy now. I am not a biological mom, but I do have 3 daughters. Vicki, Sara and Jessica. Jessica being the latest to adopt me as mom. I love all of them. God blessed me with kids and grandkids. And I couldn’t love them more if I had given birth to them.
God created mothers because He knew we needed someone here to love us unconditionally. That’s what mother’s are, unconditional love. Can you imagine a world without Moms? Who would we confide in? Who would bake us cookies? Who would give us correction when needed?
My mom was the best. She made her kids feel special. She showed so much love to us and taught us to love God. Through my mom I learned God’s love for me. She taught us to love God and people. My mom taught me a lot of things but the most important thing was the love of God.
So whether your mom is still here or gone on home, remember the lessons she taught you. Remember the love she gave so freely and pass it on to others.
Happy Mother’s Day to all biological and non biological moms!
Have a great day.
