“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.'”
(John 11:25 ESV)
“For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
(John 6:40 ESV)
I was listening to the radio in my car yesterday. The guy was talking about Jesus knowing when he was going to die. I got to thinking about that. If you knew the day you were going to die, what would you do? Would you spend the day with loved ones? Maybe spend the time with God? If you knew the day you are going to die would you do anything different? I would make sure my friends and family knew I loved them. Then I would spend time praying.
But we don’t know and I believe that to be a good thing. I don’t want to know. I just want to go to sleep and wake up in heaven.
Then on the other side of this. Jesus rose again. I do not want to come back once I go. So please don’t pray for me to come back. Just let me go. I would not be very happy if I was in heaven and then got pulled back to earth like Lazareth was. But Jesus knew He would die and then rise again and live. Jesus lives.
And He is coming back again. As we celebrate this event this weekend, lets remember that. He is coming back. He was crucified and rose again. And He will be back soon. So lets celebrate Him this weekend. Forget the rabbit and celebrate the fact that Jesus lives and is coming for us soon.
Have a blessed day.
