“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

(James 1:12 ESV)

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

(Galatians 6:9 ESV)

I was thinking about these devotionals yesterday. As of today I have been doing these for 2 years. That is 730 days. I will admit I missed a day when I had shoulder surgery and there have been a few repeats. But I persevered and have kept on. But God gets all the credit. I could not do these everyday if He didn’t help me.

I was looking back at the beginning. I started with just scripture references. Then I added the whole scripture. Then it evolved into really short comments, then into what they are today. They even produced a book and now booklets for the outreach ministry. I just printed the second booklet yesterday and will start on the next soon.

There have been times when I wanted to stop. But God said keep going, feed my sheep. So here I am 2 years later. God has taken me from a baby Christian into what I am today. Is he done? Absolutely not! As long as I am still breathing, He is still working on me.

God is searching for people who will persevere. He wants people who will not give up at the first sign of trouble. Are you one of those people? Can God count on you to spread the word about Him? We need to get out there and start spreading the word about God and salvation.

Have a great day.
