“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalm 56:3 NIV)
“Casting all anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)
Did you know “fear not” is listed in the Bible 365 times? That’s one scripture per day. Except leap years, then you have permission to read one twice.
I saw that on Facebook book yesterday. I know, how much time do I spend on Facebook everyday? Not as much as you might think. But I didn’t believe it so I looked it up. Yep, fear not is listed 365 times. But did you also know that fear and faith counteract each other? You can’t be afraid of things and have the faith God wants you to have.
If you did have that kind of faith, what are you afraid of? God has it handled. Just have faith and let go of fear. Not easy? Why not? Because you have held onto your fears so long they seem like good friends. It’s time for new friends. Turn your fear into faith and make a new friend. Faith will see you through the hardest of times.
Google defines fear as, “An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.”
It defines faith as, “Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.”
Fear causes anxiety disorder among other things. You hear so much now days about anxiety. Everywhere you go, people are stressed out and anxious about things they have no control over. But if you walk in faith, fear has to go, anxiety has go, depression, stress, they all have to go.
Come back to your first love, God. Let Him fix your problems. When things seem out of control and you don’t know where to turn, turn to God.
The King has one more move. Let Him fix your issues.
