“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV)
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9 ESV)
I was scrolling through Facebook yesterday when I saw a text message, from God.
Oh relax, I know it was a photoshop picture. But what it said hit home for me:
Messages:
Us: “Now God!”
God: “Relax, there is a time for everything. Don’t get ahead of yourself. Be calm and trust My timing. I love you.”
Trust God’s timing. Really? Is His timing better than mine? Don’t I know when and what I need?
Of course I do. But God knows better than I do. He also knows how it’s going to work out.
Sunday before church, I asked a friend to pray for an unspoken request. You see, I have learned, the hard way, that God knows my needs. I don’t have to tell other’s. But before church even started, that need was met. A faithful servant of God met that need, and then some, before my friend had time to pray. I think God just wanted me to voice it, to put it out there, for Him to take care of it.
But that’s how God operates. “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:13 NIV)
And He will. If we wait for the right time.
So if you have a need today, go into the throne room. Get before God and make you needs known. Then trust Him to take care of them. So relax and wait for God. It’s always time well spent in the presence of your Father.
Have a great day.
