Sometime ago, a group of hymnbook publishers selected the hymn, “All Hail the power of Jesus’ Name” as an anthem of the church. What a wonderful song. We can all hail the power of Jesus’ name because it is through His name we have salvation for our souls, healing for our bodies, and victory over the forces of Satan and access to the father in prayer. We all remember that the word of God says that “And she shall bring forth a son and thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21). Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Act 4:12). When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are given Jesus’ name to use. Just like a blank check to withdrawn any amount we want from the bank of miracle or heaven.
1) According to His word in John 16: 23, whatsoever I ask the Father in Jesus’ name He will give it to me.
2) Because God hath highly exalted him and given him the name which is above every name in heaven, earth. I boldly speak His name in subduing all other names.
3) Because whatsoever I ask in His name that will He do that the Father might be glorified in the son. (John 14:13) I therefore confidently speak in His name that the Father might be glorified.
4) Because if I ask anything in His name He will do it. I know that anything includes salvation, healing, supply of needs, liberation etc.
5) Whatsoever I do in word or deed I do all in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God and the father by Him (Colossians 3:17).
As the song goes, All hail the power of Jesus name, this is more than an anthem: I hail the power of His saving, healing, delivering name .The matchless name of Jesus. Alleluia!
