I was looking at some magnets I had made years ago. One caught my eye. Here it is. I added the scriptures:
Faith is Comprised of Three Things:
1. Faith is to be believed: “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17 ESV)
2. Commands to be obeyed: “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6 ESV)
3. Promises to be enjoyed: “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” (Matthew 21:22 ESV)
According to the AI Overview “Faith is defined as a strong, confident belief or trust in something or someone, especially when there is no direct proof or evidence, but it can also refer to a specific religion, a system of beliefs, or loyalty to a cause. The term implies a deep conviction and reliance on a person, a doctrine, or a deity.”
How strong is your faith? How do you measure faith?
He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
(Matthew 17:20 ESV)
Does this mean you don’t have to have big faith? Can it be as small as a mustard seed and still produce results?
There have been times when my faith was practically nonexistent but God still showed up. Then there are times when I have an abundance of faith. God still showed up. So I encourage you to build up your faith no matter how big or small. Then let God have His way.
Have a great day, everyone.
