“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
(Mark 11:24 ESV)
“Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”
(Romans 8:26 ESV)
How do you pray? Do you spend time just being with God, or do you keep badgering Him with wants and needs? Do you pray others earnestly or just send a few words up and hope they hit the spot? I have been guilty of firing a quick word off for whoever. But not all the time.
I have found out things are better when you make your needs known to God. And then start praising Him for it even if it hasn’t manifested yet. God loves to hear our praises. He loves to be thanked beforehand. If you give something, don’t you like to be thanked? So does God.
We really don’t need to worry about things, but we do anyway. That’s just human nature. God has it handled, but we need to take a step back and let Him work. He works better when we stay out of His way. So next time you have a problem, thank God for the answer instead of badgering Him. Prayer and praise work wonders. Give it try a sometime.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
