Judgement Day: Here Comes the Judge!

by | Oct 18, 2014 | Judgment, Salvation

“By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36)

Your words, from infancy to this very moment are in heaven’s court record.

How are you doing? Is there evidence of your guilt? No doubt! Is there any evidence in your favor? Perhaps.

You may have thrown yourself on the mercy of the court by pleading with Jesus to be your defense attorney. (1 John 2:1.) Perhaps you had the good sense to plea bargain and plead guilty. (1 John 1:9.)

If you took Jesus as your heavenly attorney, then the news gets even better. God the Father has recused himself as judge and turned it over to His Son. (John 5:22.)

That’s right! Your judge is also your defense attorney! The main witness for the prosecution, Satan, (Revelation 12:10), is under indictment for his own crimes! And the best news of all, your defense attorney’s very wealthy Father wants to adopt you as His very own Son, which makes you an equal heir with your defense attorney! (Romans 8:23.)

That’s great news for those who have taken Christ’s legal advice!

However, for those who have chosen to defend themselves instead, well, you know what they always say in law school! “Anyone who defends himself has a fool for a client!” There is more bad news! Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law!

I am sure that all of us have said plenty!  It’s still not too late. You have the right to remain silent.  If you can not afford one, (and you can’t,) an attorney will be provided for you without charge. That’s right!  Christ’s legal counsel is free of charge! And, He’s the very best lawyer in the universe!

Why not avail His services right now!

Jesus, I plead guilty! Would you please take my case? Without you, my case is hopeless! With you at my side, I have nothing to worry about!

If you did that, then, congratulations! You are headed on a one way trip from your prison cell on death row to your place in the King’s Palace as a member of God’s royal family!

Welcome home!
