I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

(John 16:33 ESV)

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.

(2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV)

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

(Isaiah 26:3 ESV)

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

(Matthew 5:9 ESV)

For those who don’t know, I has shoulder surgery Monday. I came home Tuesday with very explicit instructions on what I can and can’t do. What I wasn’t told was that God’s peace will invade my home and life like never before. I used to have my TV on all day for noise. Not so much anymore. I can go most of the day with it off. And not miss it. I checked out books from the library before surgery. I read 1 whole book in the hospital, wishing I had another one before I went home.

God sends His peace to people who need it. His peace is nothing like the kind of peace you might find in the world. I can’t explain it. I just know that it surpasses anything this world can give. If you are going through a rough patch, reach out to your loving Heavenly Father. Ask for His peace. He won’t hold it back from you. Then just sit back and bask in the presence of your Father.

Don’t forget to thank Him. Have a great day. Remember, Jesus loves and so do I.
