Butterfly

by | Jul 17, 2025 | a new perspective, New Creation, New Life, Poems

Encased by folds of silken threads,
Wrapped about your head.
Entrapped by nature’s wondrous grasp,
Alive yet nearly dead.

Awake O sleeper t’is your time,
Morning has arisen!
Sunlight blinds the naked eye,
Struggle from your prison.

New life this moment has been breathed,
Arise take up the flight.
Clawing through the mounds of web,
You struggle t’ward the light.

At last you’re free to fly away,
No longer bound by earth.
Spread your wings and soar today,
Drink and quench your thirst.
