He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting.
(Job 8:21 ESV)
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
(Psalm 126:2 ESV)
Are you afraid of something? I used to be afraid of storms. I was terrified of them. Not just a little thunder and rain. I mean the full-blown storms. Thunder, lightning, wind, and rain would send me running to my mom. I knew she would protect me. Now, I sit and watch it storm. I find it fascinating.
Jesus doesn’t want us to be afraid of anything. He wants us to be free from fear. But the devil doesn’t. He wants us in bondage at all times. But do you know what the devil hates? Other than us I mean. He hates laughter.
Church yesterday was great. There was a lot of laughter. Things were broken off people. I know I felt better afterwards.
When the devil comes calling what do you do? Do you invite him in for tea? Or coffee for those who like coffee. Or do you stand your ground and fight him? I really hope you stand your ground. Use your weapons. Use the blood of Jesus. That will send him on his way.
So the next time the devil comes calling, laugh at him and send him running.
Have a great day, everyone.
