Who Do You Blame?

by | Mar 12, 2025 | Blame, Trials

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

(1 Peter 4:12 ESV)

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

(James 1:12 ESV)

I saw this on Facebook a while back: “Why are you all blaming God for your problems? Most of your problems came from not listening to Him to begin with.”

Hmm. Kind of hits a nerve. I know that I don’t blame God for my problems, but when I am going through something, I know I tend not to listen closely to God. When you are going through problems, that’s when you need to draw closer to God. God is our anchor. He is holding us tightly to protect us.

Where do problems come from? Not from God. The devil sends troubles. When the devil sends problems your way, do you crumble, or do you fight? I am learning how to fight my battles. Jesus goes before me to fight. Personally, I am glad Jesus goes before me to fight for me. The battles are easier when Jesus goes before you.

So the next time you are going through a battle, make sure Jesus is going before you.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
