Nobody on Earth Is Perfect

by | Dec 16, 2024 | Grace, Judging, Perfection

“For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.”

(James 3:2 ESV)

“And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

(James 1:4 ESV)

There is no perfect life, no perfect job, no perfect childhood, and no perfect set of people who will always do what is expected of them to do. What we do have is a perfect God who is able to lead us through this imperfect life with unfailing strength, incomparable wisdom, and infinite love.

Oxford Languages defines perfect as, “having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be.” Another definition is “make (something) completely free from faults or defects, or as close to such a condition as possible.” I will be the first to say I am not by a long shot, perfect.

My brother once told me that there is only one perfect person and He is in heaven. Jesus is perfect. I don’t think anyone will disagree with me that Jesus is perfect. So just remember that no one and nothing is perfect, except Jesus.

Have a great day, everyone.
