“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:19 ESV)
“Casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.”
(1 Peter 5:7 ESV)
“Let us then, with confidence, draw near to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
(Hebrews 4:16 ESV)
While driving home from church last night in a torrential rain, a song caught my attention: “Honestly, We Just Need Jesus” by Terrian:
“Honestly, I think we just need Jesus.
Honestly, We Just Need Jesus by Terrian
Honestly, I think we just need Jesus.
Have we all gone mad? Have we lost our minds?
What used to be wrong, we say that it’s right.
Honestly, I think we just need Jesus.”
I was listening while trying to see the road. I started laughing. I don’t think I need Jesus. I KNOW I need Jesus. There is nothing to think about. Give me Jesus. I need Him every second of every day. No ifs, ands or buts. Give me Jesus.
“Oh, I want Jesus.
I Want Jesus by John Wilds
Oh, only Him.
Oh, I want Jesus.
Take this world and give me Him.”
That little chorus sums it up nicely for me. Take this world and give me Him. This world has nothing to offer except headaches and heartaches. We don’t need either. Turn your eyes toward Jesus. Set your heart to follow Him. Stay close to Jesus. And be careful if you’re driving in a monsoon and a song comes on that makes you laugh. Keep your eyes open and on the road.
Have a great day, everyone.
