“and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
(Ephesians 4:32 KJV)
Dearly beloved and friends, one of the key performance indicators of our Christian relationships is showing agape love to each other at all times. In doing this, we have to be each others’ keepers and be concerned with the wellbeing of those around us. In the real sense of it, when last did you ask if someone is really okay?
Examples of some factors that really constitute genuine Christian love and concern:
1.Prayers: We need to always pray and intercede for each other, at all times: “Brethren, pray for us…” (1 Thessalonians 5:25 KJV)
Peter: While he was in prison, the brethren gathered to earnestly intercede for him. Result? Peter was released by the Angel of the Lord (See Acts 12:1-5;7-9).
2. Sharing our goods: We need to be hospitable and give to the necessity of the saints.
Abraham: He hasted to serve and bless the heavenly visitors and waited on them in the process (See Genesis 18 :7-8; Romans 12:13) Results? The confirmation of God’s promise to him was validated, even to the hearing of Sarah (See Genesis 18:10); and Isaac, the promised child, was born at the set time appointed (See Genesis 21:1-2).
3. Visiting each other: Personal visitation and follow up foster healthy relationships.
Mary, mother of Jesus: Upon the visitation of Angel to her, she traveled to go and felicitate with Elizabeth, her cousin, who also had angelic visitation(See Luke 1:36-39). Result? The baby in Elizabeth’s womb (John the Baptist) lept at the sound of the salutations and Elizabeth prophesied (See Luke 1:41-42).
4. Showing genuine love and care:
YOU: God commands thus: to communicate and to do good, forget not (See Hebrews 13:16). Result? God is not unrighteous, He will reward you for all ministrations to the brethren and people around you (See Hebrews 6:10; Matt. 25:40).
What to do: Reach out to someone today!
Main Prayer Point: In Jesus name, Amen. Father, please help me to show genuine love and to always care for everyone around me.
LOVE IS AN INDISPENSABLE KEY IN LIFE.
