Have you ever asked yourself that question? What if I had done this differently?
Well, I have a question for you. What if you died and went to heaven and then came back? Would you tell anyone what you saw? Would you tell anyone if you spent time face to face with Jesus? I know some people would think you were crazy or making it up for attention. But what if you went to hell instead? Would you be brave enough to tell anyone?
I think I would on both counts. I might pick and choose who I told, but I would let people know what both places are like.
There’s a lot of what-if questions in my life. But the biggest what if is what would have happened to me if Jesus hadn’t pursued me after I left the church? God’s great mercy protected me all those years when I was backslidden. God’s mercy kept me safe until Jesus found me and brought me back.
God’s mercy is for everyone. It’s also a fair price…free! God wants us to be free from the devil. His mercy covers us and protects us. So when the devil is after you and you have nowhere to turn, turn to God. God will always outdo the devil. The King has one more move and will one up the devil every time. So trust God and let Him take care of you. Because He will.
