Cast not away your Confidence
We are believers (That is to say we believe in Jesus Christ and His statutes) and as such we need to believe, believe the more especially now in this age of wickedness. The evidence of our believing is proven in our prayers, supplication, doing good, studying the word and continuing with the work of God. Galatians 6:9-10 says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (KJV). Can you hear what the lord is telling us? Let us do good and not faint, believe the more. Senior Prophet TB Joshua taught us to do good the more, in times of trials and tribulations, it’s when we do good the more.
Hebrews 10: 35-36 says, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” (KJV). If you are asking yourself how to get confidence when all hope is lost, the answer is found in the word, “Reward”. The same way you get up and go to work and expect a salary, which is your reward, likewise have faith in God and obey Him and your confidence in God will be rewarded.
“But,” you say, “the situation I’m in is worse than I can handle!” Remind yourself, child of God, that you are in Christ Jesus and are seated with Christ at the right hand of the Father (A place of authority), you can only have confidence when you’re in the will of God. Look at that verse 36 again. It says, “After ye have done the will of God…” This is your stop sign. At this stage you need to ask yourself, “Am I doing the will of God? Am I in the Will of God?” The verse clearly tells us there is a will of GOD and a will of MAN, and you need to examine yourself and re-position yourself to partake of His divine nature, this is, His will for us according to 2 Peter 1: 3-4: “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (KJV)
The above verses depicts a manner of Life that only God expects you to function in. I adjure you to make the Word of God a standard for your life, and let His will be the one thing you pursue and partake in on a daily basis. Now you ask, “Why should I have confidence in His will for my life?” The great psalmist David stated in Psalm 119:72, “The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.” Did you see that The WORD OF GOD is more valuable than gold and silver, all the money in the world cannot be more valuable than the word of God, so there you have your confidence. Also remember that Romans 4:3 states that Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. You are the seed of Abraham. It’s in our best interest to believe God, for we are heirs of the promise, joint heirs with Christ: “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” (Romans 8:17 KJV)
Don’t ask how this can be so?… No, child of God, your duty is to just believe God. There is no better will than that. Learn from King David. He put value to the Word of God. It is clear that what you value the most you appreciate and honor. Likewise make the Word of God valuable to you. “Renew your mind” (Roman 12:2 KJV) the word says, and begin to confess the promises of God. In a dark and wicked world we should be emulating Christ, and He made us the salt of the earth. Even better than that, He made us the light of the world.Matthew 5:14 clearly tell us so: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” (KJV)
Don’t miss what Jesus said. He said you cannot be hidden. Which means what the world is watching and expecting you to react to their demands and succumb to their evil ways: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9 KJV)
Did you see we ought to do great things. In fact, it states we need to show it off. We need to confess the Love of God, confess the righteousness of God, and confess the goodness of God. The word of in Jeremiah 42:5-6 states: “Then they said to Jeremiah, The Lord be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the Lord thy God shall send thee to us. Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.” (KJV)
So no matter the circumstance, good or bad, we need to believe God and obey Him.
Child of God this is your season to advance forward, take up your shield of Faith and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God so that you may be able to stand in the evil day. The Joy of the Lord is your strength.
Happy Fathers Day!
