“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” (Matthew 7:13-14 ESV)
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” (Proverbs 14:12 ESV)
Life is full of choices. We make good and bad choices.
It seems I have made more than my share of bad ones. But I got to thinking, what if I had made a different choice? What if I turned right instead of left or said no instead of yes?
I will never know if those choices would have been better or not. But the one choice I do greatly regret is walking away from church at 19 years old. Yes, I came back but what if I had not left? What would my life be like right now? Would I have a closer walk with God? Or would I just be phoning it in?
I am working on my walk with God. It’s a daily thing for me. I get up and read my Bible and pray. It’s become routine for me. God has a plan for me. He wants me to share my experiences with people. We all need to know we aren’t alone. What we are going through, someone else has already been through it. Let them help you through it.
God is good. He loves us all. He wants the best for us and will move heaven and earth if necessary to find those who are lost. Do you know someone who needs to get to know God? I think we all do. Give them this prayer:
“Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
Once they pray this prayer, encourage them to turn from sin and follow Jesus. Let them know what is waiting for them.
Have a great day everyone.
