Turn to the Word for Change

by | Oct 18, 2014 | Promises, Word of God

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12).

When the Word of God is spoken, it goes forth to accomplish its purpose; it produces what it talks about. For example, when the word of salvation is given, if someone gets a hold of it and acts on it, he or she will be saved. It is the same thing if it’s a word of healing. Whoever takes a hold of it in faith will be healed. The only reason God’s word may not work in someone’s life is if he receives the Word and fail to acknowledge or act on it. The Word is effectual and will prevail in your life when received and acted upon; it will affect a change in you!

Jesus said in Mathew 13:15: “For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.” It makes no difference what you might be going through right now; if you’d hear, understand and act on the Word, it will produce the desired result in your life. The infallible Word of God is the guaranteed change-agent you need to transform you from glory to glory.

Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the things whereto I sent it.” If someone who’s poor for example, receives the Word on financial prosperity and acts upon it, the Word changes his state and catapult him to a life of success and prosperity.

The Word of God is alive and full of power; so you can turn to the Word for a miracle. What ever change you want in your life right now is possible! You don’t have to cry; turn to the Word. Find out what the Word says concerning what you’re dealing with and then hold sessions of meditation. Before long, there’ll be a change. Like Abraham, refuse to stagger at the Word of God through unbelief; be strong in faith, giving glory to God that you’re who He says that you are, and you have what you says that you have! Make confessions of the Word continually; it’ll change your marriage, home, children, job, and finances.

Confession: I’m what God says I am! I’m rich and influential, healthy and strong. As I put the Word of God today in my life, I’m metamorphosed into the glory that I behold in the Word and I’m filled with all the fullness of God. Hallelujah!
