1 CROSS + 3 NAILS = 4 GIVEN
Math has never been my forte. I required tutors just to get past basic college algebra. I would remember how hard I would study only to develop a blank mind on the day of the test. Somehow the professor took sympathy on a woman turning 50 and gave me a passing grade so I could graduate.
Math has been with man from the Creation. Adam developed an inventory system in the Garden of Eden. Abel discovered subtraction when he sacrificed a lamb to God. Noah came across addition with the collection of animals for the ark. Moses stumbled onto multiplication and division directing his wandering nomads through the desert. Please don’t let me explain how geometry, logarithms, calculus came to being. I am fortunate to know the twelve tribes of Israel and their names, and yet somehow I still confuse the disciples with other Bible characters.
There are some math’s from the Bible I do know by heart. For instance, I know there is the 10 commandments, 9 fruits of the Spirit, 9 gifts of the Spirit, and 2 loaves of bread and countless fish, or is it the other way around.
One mathematic skill I will never forget is that the Bible stated it took three nails that held my Savior to the Cross. But deep within me I know that the nails did not hold Jesus to the cross, it was his love for me and for you.
I have a unique Bible Software program. All I need to do is type in a phrase and zillions of scripture will pop up. I typed in _God’s Love_ and I had 2068 instances in the Bible where God demonstrated His love for us. But I chose one very dear scripture today:
I John 3:1-3 “See what great love the Father has given us in naming us the children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not see who we are, because it did not see who he was. My loved ones, now we are children of God, and at present it is not clear what we are to be. We are certain that at his revelation we will be like him; for we will see him as he is. And everyone who has this hope in him makes himself holy, even as he is holy.”
So my dear ones remember that one cross with three nails equal God’s eternal love for us through Jesus. Now that is a math test we should all get A+.
