I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

(Philippians 4:13 ESV)

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

(Isaiah 41:10 ESV)

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

(Isaiah 40:31 ESV)

How do you define strong? I don’t mean physical strength. I mean mental and emotional strength.

I think I am a pretty strong person. But I wasn’t always. I would break down at just about any conflict or confrontation. I was surprised at my strength at mom’s funeral in 2013. I didn’t cry. I held that until I was alone. But I knew where she was and I didn’t cry long.

Although there are times recently where I feel like crying, but tears don’t come anymore. I’m not sure why. Maybe because when I feel overwhelmed, I turn to God. I give my feelings to God. I let God help me sort them out.

Lately, I have been feeling overwhelmed. But I pull on my strength through God to work it out. When you are feeling overwhelmed, alone or whatever, call on God’s strength to help you out. He is waiting for your call.

Have a great day, everyone.
