“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”
(Matthew 6:6 ESV)
“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”
(Colossians 4:2 ESV)
“Pray without ceasing.“
(1 Thessalonians 5:17 ESV)
I read a thing on Facebook yesterday that talked about praying. I can’t find it now or remember exactly how it went, but here’s what I remember: “Pray out loud, whisper, pray silently in your head, on your knees or not. Just pray.”
The last two words got me. Just pray.
If you don’t know what to pray about, here’s some ideas. Pray for your family and friends. Pray for your pastor and church. Pray for your country. Pray for yourself. I don’t care if you are a seasoned prayer warrior or a person trying to learn how to pray. Just pray. Talk to God like you talk to a friend. Pour out your heart to Him. If you don’t know what to pray, pray in tongues. That will cover things for you. Just pray.
We all need prayer. Our world is in a big mess, and it’s only going to get worse. The end times are here. Pray.
As the scripture above says, pray it without ceasing. Pray in private or in a group. Pray for one another. Just pray.
Have a great day, everyone.
