The Answer Is on Its Way

by | May 28, 2021 | Faith, Prayer, Trust

“Call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jeremiah 33:3 ESV)

“Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24 ESV)

We sing this in church occasionally:

“The answers on its way this I know.
Jesus said it I believe it and it’s so.
My heavenly Father knows my need before we pray.
So we can rest assured the answers on its way.”

Do you believe that? Do you believe God knows our needs before we do? Think about it. God knows everything, so why wouldn’t he know what we need? So why doesn’t He just give it to us instead of us having to pray about it?

Let me see. What would happen if you gave your child everything they ever wanted? You would have a spoiled brat on your hands who didn’t know how to believe for it. That’s your answer. God want’s us to build our faith and trust in Him. So by praying and believing Him for what we need, it builds our faith.

So if we can believe Him for the small things now, it will be easy to believe for the bigger things later.

Make sense? It does to me. God hasn’t let me down yet, and He won’t in the future. So here’s a test. Pastor had us do this today:
1. Make a list of what you are believing for. It can be whatever.
2. Now pray over that list.
3. Now believe you have it because it’s coming.

I am believing for a new van or SUV. I would prefer a mini van but whatever God has for me is fine. I am believing for a new one. But if what God has for me is a good used one, then bring it on. But every day I thank God for that vehicle. I can see it sitting in my parking space. So I know it is coming. I don’t tell God, if you have one laying around you aren’t using, could I maybe have it? No! I thank him because I know its mine and it’s on it’s way.

And you can do the same thing. Let’s start exercising our faith and trust. Have a blessed day.
