All of us need to practice daily or moment by moment to focus on HIM. Just like Peter, we will sink when our eyes are off Him and focused on the circumstances. We always expect others or the circumstance to get right for us to enjoy peace. Is 26:3 says that “He will keep them in perfect peace whose minds are stayed on HIM.” So, it is something internal; our minds and where they stay. I heard an online sermon yesterday. What he said was that if we don’t control our thoughts (which eventually controls our emotions, actions, habits etc), the enemy will do it. And the real battlefield is in the mind. But, fortunately for us, God is on our side and He always wins it for us.
Keep trusting Him. When we find no way, He sees a million ways. When the Israelites were near the Red Sea, they were seeing that as their end and so were their enemies. What God was planning was beyond anybody’s thinking and wildest imagination. He was thinking about a dry land right through the middle of the sea and also an ideal place to end the enemies. I am sure He was thinking about the fishes too and their providence, he he!
What has happened is happened! Just like Joseph, we just have to believe that what man intended for our evil, He will turn the tables around and will bring good (much more than we could think at the moment) out of it. Let us forget the past or better still thank Him for a tough past. He did trust you all the way to hold on and He definitely has a plan which needs a stronger you and the strength you have gained through the adverse situations (Think about Arnold Schwarzenegger! He had to go through lot of rigorous and painful exercises before he became Mr. Universe and much more failures before he became a Hollywood superstar with all the odds against him. Isn’t it somewhat similar when it comes to spiritual muscles??). And, all the while, it was His grace and His strength in you that has brought you this far and that will lead you on. You are a fighter and a champion too who has survived some of the toughest battles in life. I am sure He wants you to hold your hand and lead you to the promised land in your life. Keep trusting HIM, keep trusting HIM. He knows, He understands and He cares….
