Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

(Hebrews 4:16 ESV)

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved.

(Ephesians 2:4-5 ESV)

Have you ever experienced God’s mercy? What about the time you got stopped for speeding and were only given a warning even though you were speeding? How about the time the whole family got sick but you didn’t? Sounds like God’s mercy to me.

According to Oxford Languages,  mercy is, “compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.”

Do you show mercy to others? When you have the power to hurt someone, do you just let it go? That’s showing mercy. God shows His mercy to us all the time. We need to extend that mercy to others. By showing mercy to others, we are showing God’s love to others. God wants us to love one another. God loves us and wants us to love others. He wants us to spread love and kindness to others.

Are you willing to show mercy and kindness to others? I hope so. One day you might have need of it from someone else.

Have a blessed day, everyone.
