Betrayal

by | Aug 8, 2024 | Focus, Keep Watch

“A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape.”

(Proverbs 19:5 ESV)

“And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.”

(Matthew 24:10 ESV)

According to google, betrayal means “an act of deliberate disloyalty.” It can be defined as a breach of trust, where someone violates the confidence and expectations of another person.

The greatest betrayal in the Bible was when Judas betrayed Jesus and handed Him over for 30 pieces of silver. I don’t think there is enough money in the world for me to betray Jesus. But when the devil digs deep enough in the right person, anything would be the right amount. That is why I have been harping on keeping your guard up at all times. One little crack in your armor is enough to let the devil get a foot hold.

Check your armor daily. Several times daily or even constantly. Make sure there are no cracks. Be careful of your words, too. You may mean one thing, and someone could take it the wrong way, and then there could be trouble. Someone who was a friend could take it as a betrayal.

So keep your armor in good shape and keep your guard up. Don’t be like Judas. Have a great day, everyone.
