“And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
(Romans 8:28 ESV)
“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
(Psalm 9:10 ESV)
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him, my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to him.”
(Psalm 28:7 ESV)
Storms rolled through last night. Tornado sirens blared.
What did I do? I stayed in my recliner watching TV.
Why, you ask?
Because I know who holds my life. I had nothing to fear because when the code red warning came across my phone, I prayed. I trust in the one who holds me in the palm of His hand. God has it all under control. We have nothing to fear.
I did hear a tornado touched down about 10 miles from here. But God took care of me because I trusted Him to. I could have dissolved into a puddle of fear and anxiety. But I had already given it to God. And He took care of it because I had no reason to be afraid.
Are you fearful and anxious about everything? Turn it over to God and let Him handle it for you. The devil comes to torment with fears and anxiety. We don’t have to live that way. God wants us free of fear and anxiety. The devil doesn’t. He wants to keep us upset and worried to keep our focus off God.
So, where is your focus today? Is it on the world and all its problems? Or is it on God and the peace that He provides? I hope it is the second choice. So when the devil sends the winds of storms, duck and cover, and trust God to take care of you.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
