“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”
(1 John 4:16 ESV)
“And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'”
(Matthew 22:37-39 ESV)
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
(1 Corinthians 13:13 ESV)
I heard a song yesterday morning on my way home from Walmart. But for the life of me I can’t find the name of it. But it doesn’t matter. The part that caught my attention was the nail scars are on His hands and so is your name. Not sure if I remember it right. But it got me to thinking. The nail scars are on His hands. But so are our names.
Our names are written on the nail scarred hands of Jesus. He loves us so much He carries our names written on His hands. Now I know people who have tattoos of people’s names on their body. But can you imagine your name on our Saviors hand? What love He must have for us to do that. For Him to carry our names with Him everywhere He goes.
Do you love Jesus that much? Would you carry His name? We don’t have to have His name tattooed on our body to prove we love Him.
We can show our love for Jesus by spreading love wherever we go. Tell everyone Jesus loves them.
“Jesus loves me this I know.
Jesus Loves Me by Anna Bartlett Warner
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong.
They are weak but he is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
For the Bible tells me so.”
You just sang that didn’t you. I did. If you haven’t given your heart to Jesus, today is a good time to do it. He us waiting for you with open arms. Fall into His arms today and give Him all your problems.
Have a blessed day everyone.
