“Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, Thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.”

Dearly beloved and friends,Words are powerful and can build up or destroy completely. The tongue though small can ignite a war that can consume friendships, families, ministries and even nations. Please put a watch on your tongue. The confession of your mouth determines the direction of your destiny.
- “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21 KJV).
- “The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: But the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.” (Proverbs 15:2 KJV).
- “Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.” (Psalm 52:2 KJV).
Examples — Wrong use of the tongue:
- False and wicked friends: The deceitfully luring the innocent into evil devices with their “sweet tongues” (See Proverbs 1:10-15).
- Delilah: She used enticing words to betray and to destroy Samson’s destiny (See Judges 16:6-8).
- False witnesses: They told lies as false witnesses to ensure Jesus was condemned to death (See Matthew 26:60).
- An Amalekite: Who told lies to win Favor of David but ended being killed (See 2 Samuel 1:16).
- YOU: Commune with your heart that your mouth will not lead you astray
What to do — Correct use of the tongue:
- Speak pleasant words: ”Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” (Proverbs 16:24 KJV).
- Season your words with salt: “Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” (Colossians 4:6 KJV).
Prayer Points:In Jesus name:
- Father, please help me put a watch over my lips,and deliver me.
- Father, please don’t let me destroy my destiny by the word of my mouth.
- Father,please put a coal of fire on my tongue and purify all the fruits of my lips.
