“Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil. But counselors of peace have joy.” (Proverbs 12:20 ESV)
Life has a way of dragging people down. A very dear friend is going through some issues with one of her children. He has a way of stealing all peace and joy. He has some serious problems and is trying to play the blame game. He has no peace or joy. He needs to stop blaming everyone else and get his life straight.
Me? I have peace and I have joy. God has shielded me from the tricks of the devil. When he comes to try to steal my peace and joy, I stand up to him and say, “oh no you don’t. I refuse to allow to steal my peace and joy.”
It hasn’t stopped him. I have been having a few minor health issues but I just laugh at it. By the stripes of Jesus I am healed. I stand on the promises. They haven’t failed me yet nor will they ever fail me.
Have you lost your peace and joy? They do go hand in hand you know. You lose one you lose the other one. But stand your ground. God will help you fight when you call on him. So whatever your problems, care or concerns are today, give them to God. Reclaim your peace and joy. Reclaim what the devil has stolen, no matter what it may be.
