Trusting God in All Things

by | Apr 16, 2021 | Trust, Worry

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 ESV)

In your circle of friends, family, acquaintances and co-workers, how many do you really trust? I mean trust enough with your life if need be? I can truthfully say I have 5 family members and 6 close friends I trust with my life. I know that sounds like a lot but when you consider how many people I know, it’s not really.

But the one person I trust totally, completely, no doubt whatsoever, is God. He has never let me down and never will.

But can I be trusted? I certainly hope people can trust me. I have tried to prove to people I can be trusted.

God proves himself everyday. For example, I wrote a book. They should be back from the printer sometime today. I am almost sold out of what I ordered. God told me who to give a free book to. He also said to sell the rest for $10 and don’t worry about making a profit, he has it under control. Have I stressed about it? Not a bit. God said he has it under control, so I trust he has it under control.

I have found that stressing over something, having an anxiety or panic attack or worrying, doesn’t get me anywhere except a headache or heartburn. Both of which I can do without.

So if you find yourself in a spot, no one to turn to, turn to God. He will take care of you. He is a friend like no other.

Have a great day. God loves you and so do I.
