I was driving home from a food pantry yesterday. I pick up for several people. I was looking at the 3 cases of eggs beside me. I got to wondering who was the first person who decided to try eating eggs. Then that led me to wonder about other things. Snails. Who and why would someone want to eat a slimy snail? I know God created everything, but I have questions. I’m going to have to sit down with God and ask what He was thinking when I get to heaven.
I had an uncle who came to spend some time with us one summer. He told me ate rattlesnake. He said it tasted like chicken. I asked him why and said because he was curious. I don’t think I could ever be that curious to eat a snake or snails.
I have also wondered about some of the animals God created. Like the platypus. It looks like it’s made from leftover parts. Bugs! I know they must be important, but why? Flies are annoying, roaches are disgusting, and ants get into everything. Don’t get me started on worms.
I know everything plays a part in the world. But I hope God is ready to answer my questions when I go home.
