Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
(Proverbs 4:23 ESV)
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
(1 Peter 5:8 ESV)
Have you ever been so tired you just couldn’t move a muscle? Ever feel so drained you felt like you have nothing else to give?
That’s how I was feeling last night. It had been a busy day, plus running on a few hours sleep doesn’t help. After I got home from church Tuesday night I just couldn’t get to sleep. It was close to eleven the last time I looked at the clock and I was still wide awake.
There are days when we all feel like that. But there is a solution. God! Reach out to God for help. Did I do that yesterday? No. Why? Not sure, but I really should have. God could have helped me. Do you always think to turn to God? Why do you think we forget to?
My thoughts are that the devil blinds us to the fact that God is our help. He is our Savior in times of need and times of good. When I was trying to decide what to write about, God helped because I asked. He gave me the words to say here.
The next time you feel drained, turn to God for help first.
Have a blessed day.
