“For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
(Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV)
“He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.”
(Titus 3:5 ESV)
What does it mean to be saved?
In the Bible, being saved means that a person has been forgiven of their sins and is assured of eternal life in heaven. It also means that a person has been declared righteous by God through faith in Jesus Christ.
How is salvation achieved?
By turning away from sin, trusting in Jesus Christ, confessing that Jesus is Lord, and believing that Jesus was raised from the dead.
What does salvation mean in practice?
1. Salvation is a free gift from God.
2. Salvation does not spare a person from earthly troubles, but it does spare them from eternal judgment.
3. Salvation is being saved from sin and brought to God.
4. Repent and ask Jesus into your heart.
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Amen.”
Have a wonderful day, everyone.
