“So Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘Truly I understand that God shows no partiality.'”
(Acts 10:34 ESV)
“For God shows no partiality.”
,(Romans 2:11 ESV)
“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.”
(Deuteronomy 10:17 ESV)
I have heard people say, “God must love you more than me because He gives you more than He does me.” But think for a minute. God is not partial. He loves us all the same. Maybe they think He gives one person more than another, but what is that person doing for God? Maybe that person is on fire for God and out working daily on God’s work, and maybe the other person is just skating by.
I was looking for scriptures about God being partial. I found multiple ones that say He isn’t. I couldn’t find any that say he prefers one over another.
We, being human, show partiality to others. Growing up, I discovered groups of people in school who hung around certain people. Jocks and cheerleaders jump to mind. The preppy set also. But one group who I found accepted everyone was the nerds. Jesus hung out with the nerds. He hung out with the lower class and outcasts. It wasn’t that He didn’t love the upper crust, but they didn’t need Him like the unsaved. He made sure the “unloved” was loved. He made sure they had attention. But He showed no partiality. He was still interested in all people. He cared about all the people.
We need to stop living in cliques and show love to everyone. We need to find the people who really need us and bring them in. Let’s overflow the churches. Show everyone the same love God has for them.
Have a fantastic day, everyone.
