“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”
(1 John 4:16 ESV)
“And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'”
(Matthew 22:37-39 ESV)
Want to hear some good news? Jesus loves you! Yes, He does. Jesus loves us like no one else ever can. Yes, your family, friends, kids, etc. love you. But not like Jesus loves you. Jesus died on the cross for us. If that isn’t love, what is? I don’t see anyone nowadays dying like Jesus did for us.
I believe we will see people being martyred for their belief but not going to a cross willingly like Jesus did. He went willingly so we could live. He bore our sins. Jesus loves us. Plain and simple. Jesus loves you and me.
Jesus loves me this, I know.
(Jesus Loves Me)
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong.
We are weak, but He is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me.
For the Bible tells me so.”
I know the Bible tells me about the love Jesus has for us. But I just look back on my life and see His hand all over me. He’s protected, guided, provided, and loved me all my life and before I was even thought of He loved me. He has loved us from before time began. And He will keep loving us. That’s really good news, friends. Jesus loves each of us.
Have a blessed day, and go tell someone you love them.
