“Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.”
(Psalm 119:37 ESV)
“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
(Hebrews 12:2 ESV)
I can get easily distracted. I post on my church’s Facebook book page. In order to do that, I have to go through mine first. If I don’t focus on the little button at the top to get to the church page, I start reading something on mine. Then, it takes a few minutes to get refocused on what I was doing.
Do you ever get sidetracked while praying? A stray thought hits, and you think I better write that down, or I need to take care of that? Well, you’re not alone. That’s not how God wants us to be. We need to be focused on Him.
The devil sends those thoughts to distract us. He wants us distracted to keep our minds off God. He wants to derail us so we don’t do what God has for us to do. I can tell you that the attacks are coming more often and with a greater intensity. If you are working for God, the devil doesn’t like it.
God has great things for us, and the devil doesn’t want us to have them. He is one angry dude and is doing everything he can to take the place of God. But we win. We will overcome the devil and all his tricks and attacks.
God will soon send the devil back to the pits of hell for eternity. Can you imagine being in hell for eternity? Being tortured for eternity? I can and I don’t like it. Eternity never ends, so the torture will never end. But you don’t have to go there. Just give your life to God. Repent and ask Him into your heart. Then live your life for Him and spend eternity in paradise. Paradise over eternity being tortured? Paradise, here I come.
Have a blessed day, everyone.
